How Long Will It Last?
Restylane provides results for up to one year. According to the RestylaneUSA website, 95% of patients still saw improvement after 18 months.
After a year, patients are recommended to schedule another treatment of Restylane for maximum results.
Some patients may have longer results than other patients. This is due to the patients metabolism and how active the patient is. Patients who smoke and exercise regularly have been found to have less lasting results.
Restylane is made using hyaluronic acid, which is naturally made in your own body. Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers are the safest fillers on the market and are 100% reversible if the patient chooses to do so.
Restylane Side Effects
Patients may experience mild side effects such as redness, itching, bruising, tenderness, and swelling at the areas of injection. This is normal and most side effects subside within 2-4 weeks.
After treatment, nearly all patients can back to their daily activities.
It is recommended that patients stay out of the sun, do not scratch the areas of injection, and do not exercise for 1-2 days after treatment.
